Allergist

Sorry it took me so long to give you an update on how well/surprising the allergist appt. went. I will start by saying that he got a scratch test done (not sure if I had mentioned that in the other post) and it's not fun as an adult and it's a GAZILLION times worst as an infant! This had to be the worst experience I've gone though with Ben- HANDS DOWN! So they put the tray on his back and injected the "allergens" and of coarse Ben flipped! Then we had to wait 1/2 hr before we could read the results but they come back and check on him every 10 min. So after they leave and give him his lollipop it took me a good 5min to calm him down, then he was good for 5min and the 3 ladies would come back in. And of coarse at the sight of them he starts screaming again and didn't want them near him (can't say I blame him.) Then the process starts all over, 5min to calm him, 5min good, then they come back! So after this painful and longest 30 min ever we have the results. The good news is he's not allergic to milk/soy/dairy..... But the surprising news is he IS allergic to fish and shellfish. Yup didn't see that coming but useful information :) So we're really no closer to knowing what Ben's butt/belly issues are (I'm assuming lactose-intolerant) and we see his pedi on Thur.
